Local Immigrant Population*
*Immigrant Population is an estimated sum of the number of naturalized Americans from this country and citizens from this country living in the Seattle Metro Area under any sort of immigration visa. It does not count the American offspring or descendants of immigrants from this country, which can go back many generations and account for large numbers of people. 1,000 is the default number when we don’t have a better count.
Filipinos have been coming to America consistently for over a century. The historical alliance between the US and Philippines is well known, but some might not realize that the Philippines were actually part of the United States for nearly 50 years! You will find Filipinos in all walks of life in Seattle, including in healthcare, medicine, business, schools, tech, labor, and everything in between. Want to learn more?
