*Immigrant Population is an estimated sum of the number of naturalized Americans from this country and citizens from this country living in the Seattle Metro Area under any sort of immigration visa.  It does not count the American offspring or descendants of immigrants from this country, which can go back many generations and account for large numbers of people.  1,000 is the default number when we don’t have a better count.

The Ukrainian population in the greater Seattle region has grown continuously to establish a prominent presence, especially in certain neighborhoods and towns a bit south of here.  Ukrainian immigration to the PNW is relatively recent compared to the Norwegians, Swedes, or Swiss.

If you want to experience a taste of Ukraine or participate in a Ukrainian custom in Seattle, then you will surely not need to travel far.  Ukrainian churches, restaurants, hangouts, and sports clubs are all nearby, including the Ukrainian Community Center of WA in Seattle.  With the war ongoing, public demonstrations of support for Ukraine have taken place in Seattle.

There is reportedly a particularly large concentration of Ukrainians in Soap Lake, WA (Grant County), which is about as rural and remote as it gets in WA compared to the Seattle metropolitan area.
